The competitive landscape of the derivatives market is ushering in a new change. As on-chain perpetual contract trading becomes increasingly mature, Real World Assets (RWA) are becoming a new focus for major decentralized trading platforms vying for users and liquidity. By January 2026, the RWA strategic layouts of mainstream market platforms have shown clear differentiation.

Hyperliquid stands out with its comprehensive asset coverage—covering not only traditional cryptocurrency derivatives but also expanding into RWA trading pairs such as commodities, forex, and stock indices, building a high-depth liquidity integrated trading ecosystem. This panoramic asset allocation strategy is reshaping the competitive dimensions of derivatives DEXs. Other platforms have their own focuses, but gaps in liquidity depth and category completeness are gradually widening. Those who can better integrate RWA with DeFi may become the key to victory in the next round.

Hyperliquid is covering quite extensively this time, from crypto to commodities, forex... feels a bit greedy? But liquidity is indeed the key, it’s normal for other platforms to fall behind. The real winner is the one who can integrate RWA. This round of competition hasn't reached the decisive moment yet, who knows? Hyperliquid has ideas, but don’t get yourself stuck. It seems that RWA is the real cake that DEXs are fighting for. I just want to know who can survive until the end of this wave.

Hyperliquid's comprehensive category layout is indeed aggressive, but can the liquidity depth really withstand large transactions? Or is it just another marketing gimmick?

Hyperliquid has truly outpaced other platforms this time. The all-category expansion strategy is impressive.

Hyperliquid has indeed been making a strong push this time. Covering all categories sounds very difficult to replicate.

Now Hyperliquid is really taking off, how do other platforms compare? RWA is indeed a new track this time, but liquidity depth is the key. Hyperliquid's full-category coverage is a bit outrageous, it's aiming to dominate the market. Contract trading works like this: the platform with the most varieties can outcompete its rivals. It feels like other platforms are a step behind, they can't catch up. This is what we call differentiated competition; other platforms are still in a waking dream. The integration of RWA and DeFi is indeed the future, but execution power determines everything.
