Heaven Doesn't Drop Pastries – Only Hackers Lure with Bait

Recently, I keep receiving messages with the same content: “Teacher, suddenly there’s a token worth tens of thousands of U in my wallet, how do I sell it now?” At first glance at the screenshot, I break out in a cold sweat. Not because I’m happy for them, but because this is the most classic scam trap in the crypto world – phishing token (fishing hook). Many people have “lost” all their assets just because of a few ignorant clicks. What Is a Phishing Token? Why Does It Look “Fancy” But Never Gets Sold? The hacker’s trick is extremely simple but highly effective. They airdrop a series of “homebrew” tokens into your wallet. The token names are usually very catchy, designed to trigger greed: TeslaTokenSpaceXCoinAI Meta GoldWeb3 Future DAO In the wallet, this token shows: Has a priceHas liquidity (fake)Has a total value up to tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of U You start thinking: “Lucky! Sell quickly before it’s gone!” And the tragedy begins here. Why Can’t You Sell That Token? The harsh truth is: This is not a real coin. The (smart contract) of the token has been tampered with by hackers from the start. When you press “Sell” or “Swap,” what you sign is not a sale transaction, but: 👉 Authorization order (Approve) It grants the hacker’s address: Full access to your walletWithdraw all real tokens you have (USDT, ETH, BNB, stablecoins…) With just one confirmation, your wallet is emptied within seconds. More Dangerous: Hackers Have Upgraded Their Technology If your wallet used to warn you of risks, now many phishing tokens bypass these warnings. No red pop-up. No “Risky Contract” message. Everything looks very “normal.” 👉 And it’s that “normalcy” that’s the scariest. Three Survival Principles – Remember Well to Avoid Losing Your Wallet These are the principles I always remind students and followers. Just remember and do them correctly, and you can avoid 99% of these types of losses. Principle 1: Unknown Token = No Go No matter what the wallet shows: 10,000 U100,000 UOr 1,000,000 U 👉 If you didn’t buy it, don’t participate in that project, consider it non-existent. Don’t be curious. Don’t try to sell. Don’t click on links. The crypto market does not give free money to strangers. Principle 2: Want to Check – Only View Contract, No Interaction If you really want to “see for yourself”: Check the contract on BscScan / EtherscanCheck deployment date (usually brand new@Check holders )mostly small wallets like yours(No auditNo real website 👉 99% is a scam contract. Viewing is fine. But absolutely do not approve, swap, stake, or claim. Principle 3: Approve = Giving the Keys to Your Safe In Web3, Approve is not a small matter. It’s equivalent to: “Giving you permission to open my safe anytime.” Therefore: Only approve with protocols you understandOnly use platforms that have been around through many cycles )Uniswap, Aave, Compound…(Don’t approve out of curiosityDon’t approve just to “try it out” 👉 Approving at least once adds an extra layer of security for your assets. Conclusion: One Second of Approval – One Year of Loss Most victims say the same thing after losing money: “I thought I just clicked to sell the coin…” In crypto, there’s no undo button for mistakes. Blockchain is merciless. Hackers don’t apologize. Remember: There are no cakes falling from the skyOnly bait disguised by greedSurvivors are those who doubt before hoping If you find this article helpful, share it with your friends who are into crypto. You may not make money from it, but you could save someone’s wallet.
