Februar erlebte der Kryptomarkt eine der stärksten Tagesrückgänge der letzten Zeit, wobei Bitcoin, Ethereum und Solana kollektiv stiegen, was die gesamte Marktkapitalisierung um etwa 170 Milliarden US-Dollar erhöhte und den Gesamtwert auf fast 2,5 Billionen US-Dollar steigen ließ.
Laut Marktdaten durchbrach Bitcoin zeitweise die Marke von 70.000 US-Dollar, Ethereum stieg um über 13 %, und Solana legte um mehr als 15 % zu. Diese Erholung beendete den anhaltenden Abwärtstrend seit dem Höchststand im Oktober letzten Jahres.
Marktanalysten führen den Anstieg auf eine kürzliche Klage wegen Insiderhandels gegen den Market Maker Jane Street zurück. Einige Krypto-Kommentatoren weisen darauf hin, dass es in den letzten Monaten Anzeichen gab, dass Bitcoin täglich um 10 Uhr morgens US-Ostzeit in den USA verkauft wurde, doch nach Bekanntgabe der Klage schien dieses Muster plötzlich aufgehört zu haben.
Derzeit gibt es jedoch keine öffentlichen Beweise dafür, dass Jane Street tatsächlich systematisch zu festen Zeiten Bitcoin verkauft hat. Dennoch ist die allgemeine Marktstimmung optimistisch, da die Erwartung einer schwächeren Verkaufsdrucks kurzfristig die Anlegerstimmung stärkt.
