Bitcoin has seen significant growth driven by the weakness of the US dollar and an increasing global money supply. Analysts predict that Bitcoin could reach six-figure valuations in 2025. Bitcoin Sees Growth but Faces Corrections Since May, Bitcoin’s price has increased by over 58%, primarily driven by the return of the M2 money supply to positive territory. However, a recent 7% correction prevented Bitcoin from breaking the $100,000 mark. Analysts suggest that while this correction may result in short-term setbacks, macroeconomic factors continue to support long-term growth. Rising Money Supply and a Weaker Dollar Jamie Coutts, a lead crypto analyst at Real Vision, highlighted that a weakening US Dollar Index (DXY), combined with an increasing global M2 money supply, could be the driving force behind Bitcoin’s 2025 bull rally.

Coutts noted that DXY might be peaking, which could create favorable conditions for risk assets like Bitcoin. Importance of the M2 Money Supply The M2 money supply plays a critical role in Bitcoin’s growth. Historical data show that Bitcoin has a strong correlation with this indicator. Since May, when the M2 supply turned positive, Bitcoin’s price has surged by 58%, underscoring the importance of this trend.

Bitcoin in 2025: Potential Beyond $132,000 The Federal Reserve is expected to increase the global money supply to $127 trillion by 2025, up from the current $107 trillion, representing an 18% rise. This expansion could drive Bitcoin’s price to $132,000 or higher. Coutts warns, however, that if DXY breaks key resistance levels, it could slow the growth of risk assets.

Trump’s Victory as a Growth Catalyst In addition to the weaker dollar, Bitcoin could benefit from Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election. Trump’s administration is expected to establish a supportive regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies, boosting market confidence. Trump’s win has also inspired greater risk appetite in financial markets, adding another positive factor for cryptocurrency growth. Bitcoin Adoption and Market Activity Bitcoin is approaching one million active addresses per day, a level last seen in 2019. Increasing adoption indicates positive momentum, which could further fuel its growth. Additionally, MicroStrategy continues its Bitcoin acquisition strategy, planning to invest up to $40 billion in Bitcoin, reinforcing investor confidence. Conclusion The weakness of the US dollar, a growing global money supply, and political shifts like Donald Trump’s return create favorable conditions for a Bitcoin rally in 2025. Analysts predict that Bitcoin could surpass $132,000, confirming its role as a hedge against inflation and a valuable investment opportunity.
