Still Early: Taylor Swift Remains More Popular Than Bitcoin for Now

Jon Erlichman, a BNN Bloomberg commentator, recently conducted an informal survey on the streets, asking several people whether they would prefer a ticket to a Taylor Swift concert or a bitcoin. Most of those polled stated they preferred to receive a ticket to see the singer, who has won 14 Grammy Awards, an Emmy, and holds over 100 Guinness World Records. One of the respondents even said that she would still prefer the concert ticket after being informed that bitcoin’s price was over $90,000. “That’s crazy,” she added. Commenters criticized the responses to Erlichman’s question, stating that more effort should be put into educating people about finance to help them make responsible decisions.
