Nitro, an accelerator focused on the Monad ecosystem, has officially opened applications, aiming to provide funding support for early-stage crypto teams that prioritize product delivery and practical implementation. The program will support up to 15 startups, with a total funding pool of up to $7.5 million. Each project can receive up to $500,000 for a three-month period, operating in a hybrid model of “offline in New York + remote collaboration.”
The core goal of Nitro is to address the long-standing industry issue of “fast funding, slow delivery.” According to official materials, many teams struggle to launch truly usable products after securing investment, and some even fail to validate their business models. To tackle this, Nitro’s mentorship mechanism focuses on execution rhythm, product releases, and user validation, rather than short-term data or token narratives.
Selected teams will mainly come from the Monad ecosystem, covering infrastructure, developer tools, and application-layer projects. Priority will be given to founders who have demonstrated continuous delivery capabilities and possess clear business pathways. After the project cycle concludes, Nitro will host a Demo Day, inviting well-known investment firms such as Paradigm, Electric Capital, Dragonfly, and Castle Island Ventures to connect directly with the teams, providing genuine feedback and potential collaboration opportunities.
Before Nitro’s launch, projects within the Monad ecosystem have already raised over $108 million, and Monad itself has received approximately $244 million in support from institutions like Paradigm. Monad is positioned as a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 network, designed for high-frequency finance and autonomous systems, with its mainnet launched in November 2025. While funding is abundant, what is truly scarce is stable execution capability.
In the current market environment, capital patience for “storytelling” is waning. Nitro’s focus on deliverable results signifies a shift in crypto entrepreneurship from valuation and narrative competition to product and implementation capabilities. In a highly crowded ecosystem, teams that can consistently launch real products may become the core force in the next phase.
