On March 30, according to The New York Times, two U.S. military officials said on Sunday local time that several hundred U.S. special operations forces personnel have arrived in the Middle East to take part in this deployment alongside several thousand Marine Corps servicemembers and Army paratroopers. The move is intended to give President Trump more military options to expand a month-long military conflict with Iran.
