Gate News message. On March 27, Iranian military officials on Thursday issued a warning saying that a hotel hosting U.S. military personnel in the region will become a target for attack. Iran’s armed forces spokesperson, Shekarchi, said: “When all U.S. troops enter a hotel, from our perspective, that hotel becomes a U.S. hotel. Are we just going to stand by and let Americans attack us? If we truly need to retaliate, then naturally we should retaliate where they are.” On the same day, Iran’s foreign minister, Aragchi, accused U.S. soldiers of using the public as “human shields” in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
