Iran's Defense Committee: If Coastal Areas or Islands Are Attacked, Will Cut Off Gulf Shipping Routes and Deploy Naval Mines

Gate News reports that on March 23, the Iranian Defense Council issued a statement saying that if Iran’s coast or islands are attacked, countermeasures will be taken: cutting off Gulf shipping routes (such as the Strait of Hormuz and other major oil transit channels) and communication lines, and deploying explosive mines at sea, including mine-laying operations from the Iranian coast.
