The two discussed topics including Japan’s aid to the U.S. During the meeting, Trump mentioned the Pearl Harbor incident in his remarks to the media, stating that Japan “understands the surprise attack better.” This was Takaichi’s first visit to the U.S. as Japan’s Prime Minister, and the leaders exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation.
