Kakao accelerates the development of AI and cloud global talent... Promoting K-Fintech's expansion into Southeast Asia
Kakao is recruiting students for the fourth batch of the “Kakao Tech Bootcamp,” aimed at cultivating practical developers. The program has been operating since 2022 and aims to train developers ready to work on-site. This year, it will focus on areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) practical development, full-stack development, and cloud-native technologies, with a total of 150 students to be recruited. For more details, please visit the official Kakao Tech Bootcamp website.
Meanwhile, Kakao’s subsidiary Kakao Pay has launched a promotional campaign reflecting the current low-consumption trend during high inflation times. The campaign encourages the MZ generation to reduce waste, focus on personal value, and promote healthy lifestyles through Kakao Pay’s diverse financial services. Actor Hong Kyung participated in the campaign video, which will run until May 5.
Additionally, CJ Olive Networks’ CJ ONE is running the “CJ Brand Points Challenge,” offering consumers opportunities to use CJ’s brands and earn points discounts. The campaign is available at multiple offline stores and online platforms, including Olive Young, CGV, and Durex.
Furthermore, AI fintech company PFCT is expanding its K-Fintech exports targeting Southeast Asian financial markets. PFCT is exploring cooperation opportunities with local financial institutions and fintech companies in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries, currently in the stage of validating the effectiveness of its AI risk control technology.
These activities can be seen as efforts by domestic companies to expand their global presence in technology and finance. As these initiatives succeed, Korea’s technology and financial services are expected to have a greater impact in the broader global market.
