Abstract generation in progress

PANews January 9th News, according to CCTV reports, on the 8th, European Commission spokesperson Thomas Rénier stated that the European Commission has ordered the U.S. social media platform X to retain all internal documents and data related to its built-in chatbot “Grok” until the end of 2026. “Grok” was developed by the American AI company xAI, founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk, and is integrated into Musk’s social media platform X. Recently, some users on the X platform have been using “Grok” to edit images and videos, with some generating false exposure content of real people and spreading it on the platform. Victims include hundreds of adult women and minors. Rénier said that the European Commission is “taking this issue seriously” and has decided to extend the data retention requirement issued to X in 2025. This requirement previously mainly involved platform algorithm-related information and the dissemination and spread of illegal content. On the 4th, X platform responded to the related controversy, stating that it will take action against illegal content on the platform, including deleting relevant content, permanently banning accounts, and cooperating with local governments and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
