Where is the root cause of the global trade imbalance? Relying solely on one country to make unilateral adjustments cannot fundamentally solve the problem. What is truly needed is a reconstruction of the global trading system—similar to what Keynes proposed within the Bretton Woods system—a direct punitive mechanism against trade imbalances. Otherwise, this issue will persist, and the situation of each country acting independently will remain unchanged.

That's right, unilateral sanctions are outdated and need to be redesigned to change the game rules.

Sounds nice, but the reality is that major powers don't want to be constrained... Who would want to be punished themselves?

It sounds ideal and beautiful, but who will set these rules? A powerful country or a weak country?

That's true, but can it really be rebuilt... Now every country wants to milk the system, who is willing to truly reform?

Oh man... Bretton Woods was in 2024 and still needs rebuilding? Maybe you're overthinking it. The reality is just the survival of the fittest, bro.

Ah, the global system issue... That's right, but just talking about it is useless. It all depends on who gets in first and breaks even.

System rebuilding sounds great, but who will set the rules... Isn't it still the power that makes the decisions?
