The "Four-person List" of Federal Reserve Chair candidates emerges, with Trump making the final decision in January

Odaily Planet Daily reports that U.S. President Trump will interview BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer Rick Rieder this week to consider him as a potential candidate for the next Federal Reserve Chair. This will be the fourth and final interview for the candidate to succeed Chair Jerome Powell. In addition to Rieder, the final shortlist also includes former Federal Reserve Board member Kevin Warsh, National Economic Council Director Kevin Hasset, and Federal Reserve Board member Christopher Waller. Federal Reserve Board member Bullard is no longer a candidate for the position. Trump stated that he will make a final decision in January. If the person Trump chooses is not currently a Federal Reserve Board member, they must first join the Federal Reserve Board. (Jin10)
