Amazon's $5 billion secret deal on XRP will drive the global derivatives market

Kendra Hill, an influential figure in the cryptocurrency space, suggests that Ripple’s advancements in cross-border payments may only be the beginning of a larger plan. A circulating hypothesis claims that Amazon and Ripple are holding 5 billion XRP in escrow accounts, accounting for nearly 10% of the total supply. According to YouTuber Crypto Sensei, this escrow implies that the XRP Ledger could become the platform for the global derivatives market. The theory gained more attention as SWIFT began testing XRP this month.

However, Ripple’s CTO confirmed there is no evidence of the 5 billion XRP transaction related to Amazon. The only evidence is a photo of the two companies’ logos placed side by side. Nevertheless, XRP-based ETFs are still approaching the $1 billion asset value mark.
