Swiss fintech company Mt Pelerin launches crypto IBAN service, supporting interoperability between self-custody wallets and traditional banking systems.

According to DeepFlow TechFlow, on December 3, PRNewswire reported that Swiss fintech company Mt Pelerin announced the launch of a personal cryptocurrency IBAN service. This service allows users to convert self-custody wallets into universal accounts, enabling seamless fund transfers between blockchain and traditional banking networks.

Users can create a personal Euro or Swiss Franc IBAN and link it to a crypto wallet, supporting the receipt of bank transfers and direct conversion into cryptocurrency deposited into the wallet, as well as using cryptocurrency from the wallet to send bank transfers to anyone. These payments appear identical to standard bank transfers, while cryptocurrency settlement occurs seamlessly in the background. The service is open to users worldwide (except for countries on the exclusion list), IBANs are provided free of charge, fiat-to-ZCHF stablecoin conversions are free, other cryptocurrency conversions are charged at standard rates, and the service supports more than 30 cryptocurrencies on 15 blockchains.
