PANews, August 13 – Sam Altman announced an update to ChatGPT, stating that ChatGPT now offers three mode options for GPT-5: “Auto”, “Fast”, and “Thinking”, which users can switch between based on their needs. The message limit for the GPT-5 Thinking mode is set at 3,000 messages per week; beyond this limit, users can utilize GPT-5 Thinking mini, which has a single context limit of 196,000 tokens. The 4o model is back online, and paid users can add more models through settings, with 4.5 being available only to Pro users. The official team is developing a gentler personality for GPT-5 and plans to support user-defined model personalities.
