I just finished watching Gate's Proof of Reserves (PoR) report, and here are my most direct impressions:
The assets covered this time have reached nearly 500 types, which actually illustrates one thing — it's not just about making "major coins look good," but rather including the assets that users are actually using on a daily basis. This is definitely a plus point.
The key is to look at the BTC reserve ratio, which increased from 140% to 147%. To put it simply: for every 1 BTC you deposit with them, they have 1.47 BTC on their books. This figure is already quite high on its own, and they're continuing to push it higher this time. At the very least, this shows they're actively working on building "confidence" rather than passively responding to demands.
That said, reserves are essentially "proof of having money," not "completely risk-free." But in the current environment, being able to continuously update PoR with data moving upward already puts them in the relatively more stable category of platforms.
To sum it up in one sentence: 👉 doesn't necessarily mean absolute safety, but it's at least one of the few platforms currently putting in genuine effort to give you "peace of mind." #GatePoR
