He pointed out that Bitcoin’s decline resulted from the combined effect of multiple trends, including Wall Street changing the rules of the Bitcoin game. As Bitcoin is integrated into the traditional financial system, some early holders are exiting. However, at the same time, Bitcoin’s risks are now lower than at any point in history, with its decentralization now covering everyone from individual retail investors to large financial institutions, and it has proven its resilience through multiple economic crises. That said, lower risk also leads to lower returns. Although Bitcoin is expected to continue outperforming stock indices over the next decade, it will no longer see compound annual growth rates exceeding 80% like in the past. Anthony Pompliano also disclosed that he personally increased his Bitcoin holdings in 2025 and quoted Charlie Munger’s famous saying: “Enormous wealth comes from waiting, not from trading.”
