Mars Finance News, April 10 — Glencore announced the acquisition of a 45% stake in a recycling and remelting plant near Charleston, South Carolina, USA. Previously, Glencore had provided funding for the plant in exchange for marketing rights, with the remaining 55% held by Alumicore, which will also be responsible for the plant’s operations. Glencore has become a major investor in the industry by holding a 30% stake in Century Aluminum, the largest primary aluminum producer in the United States. (Wide-angle observation)
