On September 8th, Decentralization AI and DePIN project OORT announced an update to their Token economic model. The total supply of Token OORT is 2 billion, with key changes including: 1. 400 million OORT Tokens will be allocated as rewards for OORT Edge network Nodes over the next five years, with an additional 800 million OORT Tokens being locked up for five years starting from September 15, 2024. The Lock-up Position Address will be announced soon. 2. The unlock period for the 200 million OORT Tokens allocated to the founding team has been extended from four years to six years, in line with the long-term healthy development goals of the OORT ecosystem.

The remaining 800 million Tokens will be locked in the Smart Contract from September 15, 2024, for a period of five years. After the lock-up period, 1 billion Tokens will be released in the first year, followed by a 50% reduction in the release amount each year. For example, 500 million Tokens will be released in the second year, 250 million Tokens in the third year, and so on. These Tokens will still be designated for Miners, and the community will have the right to decide whether to destroy them or unlock them. Please take a closer look at the locked 800 million, in fact, 6 billion will be locked up. After the 8 billion are locked for 5 years, 1 billion will be produced in the 6th year, 500 million in the 7th year, and 250 million in the 8th year, and so on, decreasing over time. In other words, 6 billion will never be mined!
