Kalshi Raises $1 Billion at a $22 Billion Valuation


The prediction platform Kalshi closed a Series F funding round of $1 billion. The company's valuation increased to $22 billion.

The leading investor was the Coatue fund. Participating also were Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, IVP, Paradigm, Morgan Stanley, and ARK Invest. This is Kalshi's third closed round in the past seven months.

The funds raised will be used to work with institutional clients: hedge funds, asset managers, and insurance companies. Kalshi also plans to develop tools for block trading, risk management products, and broker integration.

According to the company, over the past six months, the volume of institutional trading has increased by 800%. The platform's annual turnover grew from $52 billion to $178 billion. Kalshi holds over 90% of the prediction market share in the US.
