The Bitcoin and Crypto Anarchist Center Paralelní Polis in Prague, which has been operating for over a decade, has permanently closed due to financial difficulties and the landlord's refusal to host digital asset-related events. Founded in 2014, Paralelní Polis is a social experiment outside the state system and was once an important venue in Europe where Bitcoin was the preferred payment method. Although the project planned to transform into a new entity called Second Culture in 2024 and continue accepting Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Monero, it ultimately failed to overcome financial pressures and the landlord's firm opposition.
