BlackRock Now Has 5% Stake in Strategy, Increasing Its Indirect Bitcoin Exposure.
Asset management giant BlackRock owns 5% of Strategy (formerly known as a MicroStrategy), after acquiring an additional 1.78 million shares in the company.
BlackRock disclosed its 5% stake in Strategy through a 13G filing, which applies to investors that own 5% or more of a publicly traded company but don't have plans to influence the company.
As of September 30, 2024, BlackRock reported a 4.09% ownership stake, which means that the company has increased its stake in Strategy.
