Just saw that Bitrefill got hit with a pretty serious breach - apparently 18,500 purchase records got compromised. The thing is, security researchers are attributing this to Lazarus, the hacker group linked to North Korea. That's... not a small deal.
Lazarus has been behind some massive attacks in crypto before, so seeing them target a gift card service like this is interesting. Makes you think about how even these platforms can be vulnerable. The Lazarus connection definitely elevates the concern level here - these aren't random attackers.
Anyone here use Bitrefill regularly? I'm curious how people are reacting to this. Feels like every few months there's another major breach somewhere in the crypto ecosystem. The fact that it's Lazarus behind this particular incident just adds another layer to the whole security conversation we should probably be having.
