The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement saying that over the past several days, the Air Force, supported by intelligence services, carried out strikes on multiple key Iranian core production facilities. On the 6th, the IDF airstruck a sonar and underwater detection system production center in Shiraz, Iran. The IDF said the facility is affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Defense and is mainly used for research, development, and production of sonar systems, which can be used to detect submarines, ships, and underwater targets. The IDF said the strike significantly weakened Iran’s maritime detection and defense capabilities, affecting the production and maintenance of related equipment. In addition, in another round of airstrikes, the IDF targeted a core base for naval cruise missiles and air defense systems in Karaj, Iran.
