ME News report. On April 11 (UTC+8), Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Kalibaf will hold talks with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz that day to determine the timing and format of negotiations between Iran and the United States. In addition, during the talks, the Iranian side will raise the issue of the United States breaking its commitments to the Pakistani Prime Minister. Prerequisites for launching the negotiations include unfreezing Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon. The U.S. has informed Pakistan and agreed to these prerequisites as well as several other conditions for starting the negotiations. The Iranian delegation plans to assess the U.S. position and how it has fulfilled its commitments during the talks, and then decide whether to negotiate with the U.S. side. Tasnim News Agency said in another report that if Iran and the U.S. can hold negotiations, the current plan is for the talks to begin later on the 11th and may last only one day.
