On the 24th local time, German President Steinmeier delivered a keynote speech at the 75th anniversary celebration of the reconstruction of the German Foreign Office. Steinmeier stated that the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran is undoubtedly a violation of international law. It is reported that the German government had previously avoided characterizing this war as a violation of international law. Steinmeier described this war as “a politically disastrous mistake” and lamented that if the purpose of this war was truly to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, then it could have been avoided and was entirely unnecessary. On the contrary, the nuclear agreement reached with Iran in 2015 has greatly reduced the likelihood of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons. (CCTV News)
