Estée Lauder China's Supply Chain Intelligent Operations Center is now operational in Shanghai, with peak daily processing capacity exceeding 400,000 orders.
On March 26, the Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operation Center, located in the Xinzhuang Industrial Zone in Minhang, Shanghai, was officially launched. This center innovatively adopts a “dual warehouse linkage” model that combines bonded and non-bonded warehouses in the domestic beauty industry, and it is the first in the industry to achieve complete integration of highly automated order fulfillment and delivery systems.
According to reports, the Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operation Center is one of the group’s most automated omni-channel fulfillment centers globally. The launch of the center further reinforces the group’s long-standing commitment to “in China, for China,” enabling better service to Chinese consumers by enhancing speed, agility, and operational efficiency.
Estée Lauder Group established its first logistics center in Shanghai in 2006 and has undergone multiple expansions and upgrades between 2016 and 2021. The Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operation Center, unveiled today, serves as the primary gateway for Estée Lauder products entering the Chinese market, along with the Guangzhou warehouse launched in 2023, focused on online order fulfillment, and the Wuhan warehouse set to launch in 2024, focused on omni-channel order fulfillment, creating a distributed fulfillment network centered in Shanghai and radiating nationwide with multi-regional warehouse collaboration.
The Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operation Center was constructed in the Xinzhuang Industrial Zone, with a total building area of nearly 130,000 square meters. Its automation solutions and daily operations are managed by the group’s long-term strategic partner, SF Express. The center supports all sales channels, including e-commerce platforms and offline retail, providing integrated logistics services for the group’s entire brand portfolio in the Chinese market.
It is reported that the center is equipped with an automated stacking system, multi-level shuttle vehicles, and goods-to-person picking systems, as well as high-speed parcel sorting systems, supporting 24/7 unmanned “dark factory” operations for goods access, with a peak daily processing capacity exceeding 400,000 orders. The AI-powered “end-to-end management platform” for the “factory to consumer” chain further optimizes omni-channel fulfillment efficiency, helping to enhance delivery speed and consumer experience, with the expected next-day delivery coverage nearly doubling compared to 2021 levels.
