According to Haikou Customs statistics, in the first two months of 2026, Hainan’s imports and exports with 28 other Boao Forum for Asia founding countries (hereinafter referred to as “founding countries”) totaled 17.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%. This accounted for 33.7% of Hainan’s total foreign trade imports and exports during the same period, contributing 9.4 percentage points to the growth of Hainan’s foreign trade. Among them, exports reached 7.18 billion yuan, a 62.4% increase; imports were 9.98 billion yuan, up 11.1%. Over 80% of the founding countries experienced double-digit growth in imports and exports. In the first two months, Hainan’s imports and exports with 24 founding countries achieved double-digit growth. Notably, exports and imports with Australia, Vietnam, and Japan ranked among the top, at 4.61 billion, 1.93 billion, and 1.29 billion yuan respectively, with growth rates of 10.8%, 10.9%, and 80%, accounting for 26.9%, 11.2%, and 7.5%.
