In the residential complex downstairs, someone saw an elderly man urinating directly at the elevator entrance. After checking the surveillance footage to locate his home, they discovered he was a man in his seventies with advanced dementia.

The property management visited his family to remind them to provide better care and prevent the elderly man from causing trouble for neighbors.

It's hard to put into words. When people grow old and can no longer take care of themselves, or develop dementia, many people do indeed feel like a burden. Their children have their own lives, work, and families. Nobody can dedicate their entire life to caring for their parents.

The saying "raise sons to support you in old age" sounds self-evident, but it's actually quite heavy on children.

Truly kind elderly people probably just try not to cause trouble for their children and those around them while they can still take care of themselves.

But who can guarantee that when they grow old, they won't become the person causing trouble for others?

Life, after all, has no way around this inevitable phase.
