Jia Guolong's Xi'Bei restaurant's founding location—the brand's flagship store at Liuliqiao in Beijing—is about to "close half" of its operations. On March 19, reporters learned that Xi'Bei's Beijing Liuliqiao flagship store will reduce its area by half, but will not completely close. "We haven't received notice to close," an employee at the store told Jieface News, "but there may be adjustments later. Currently it's 5 floors, and we may remove a few floors." He acknowledged that the store is currently facing significant pressure from reduced customer traffic, and confirmed that starting April 1, the store will no longer accept private room reservations.
