Midday Review: Shanghai Composite Index Rose 0.95%, Green Power Concept Stocks Are Active

People’s Financial News, March 24 — The Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index dipped early and then recovered, while the ChiNext Index performed relatively weakly. At midday, the Shanghai Composite rose 0.95%, the Shenzhen Component increased 0.26%, and the ChiNext declined 0.79%. In the market, the green energy concept repeatedly showed activity, with Huadian Liaoning Energy, Hunan Development, Shao Neng Shares, and more than 10 stocks hitting the daily limit. The pharmaceutical sector strengthened, with Fuxiang Pharmaceutical and Mino Hua hitting the daily limit. The shipping and port sector surged during the session, with China Merchants Port Holdings hitting the daily limit. The photovoltaic equipment sector declined, with Maiwei Shares dropping over 5%. Military, non-ferrous metals, and new urbanization concepts also led gains, while oil & gas, coal, and agriculture sectors saw the largest declines.
