The probability of the Federal Reserve holding rates unchanged this week is 99.1%

On March 17, according to CME “FedWatch”: the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points this week is 0.9%, and the probability of keeping rates unchanged is 99.1%. The probability of a total 25 basis point rate cut by April is 3%, with a 97% chance of no change. By June, the probability of a total 25 basis point cut is 21.9%.
