The spring breeze of March gently brushes over Chuanshan Mountain.

In front of the rural financial service station at the village entrance, the sound of scissors snipping, the ticking of blood pressure monitors, and the laughter of children playing ring toss mingle with the staff’s authentic local accents, spreading in the morning light. This is the scene of the “安心服务进乡村” comprehensive benefit activity jointly organized by Zhejiang Chouzhou Commercial Bank (hereinafter referred to as “Chouzhou Bank”) and the Taizhou Xianju County Police Station at the Chuanshan Village Rural Financial Service Station, allowing the “small station” to unleash the “great energy” of rural revitalization.

Cut a strand of spring breeze

Convenient services always show warmth.

Several professional barbers invited by Chouzhou Bank are stationed in the village, their scissors and combs moving lightly through hair, with swift and meticulous movements. Over 20 elderly residents sit in chairs, squinting and enjoying the refreshing spring day. After a haircut, they examine themselves in the mirror, smiling with joy. Nearby, bank staff thoughtfully use a camera to capture this moment of vitality and spirit.

In the free clinic area, medical staff are measuring villagers’ blood pressure and answering questions. For common chronic diseases among the elderly, they patiently offer health advice, speaking plainly but with detailed care.

The most lively area is the ring toss zone, which is not only a playground for children but also a place for adults to relax. Over 50 children and adults gather, with small prizes and lots of laughter.

Each area is clearly divided, orderly, with villagers coming as needed and leaving satisfied. “Now, small withdrawals, paying electricity bills, and recharging mobile phones can all be done at the doorstep. The bank also regularly holds fun and practical convenient services, which the elderly and children really like!” Village Secretary Wang Weiliang’s simple words reveal the villagers’ genuine recognition of the financial convenience services. This small financial service station has long become more than just a place for banking transactions; it has become a “happiness station” that villagers are willing to visit and love.

Guard a village’s livelihood

Beyond convenience, it’s about protecting the people.

Rural areas have relatively weak awareness of financial risk prevention, and telecom fraud occurs frequently. The financial service station has also become the frontline of financial security.

A banner reading “Protect Your Money Bag, Anti-Fraud with Me” hangs prominently. Bank staff distribute over 300 promotional booklets, illustrated and easy to understand. They explain common scams such as pension fraud, fake investments, and impersonation of relatives for transfers, using real cases from nearby villages to dissect scam tactics layer by layer and teach recognition methods.

Police officers from Xianju County Police Station also come to tell stories with case examples, vividly explaining how crimes are committed, repeatedly emphasizing “Don’t trust, don’t reveal, don’t transfer” in plain language. Bank staff also go into the village to patiently respond to every question: “What to do if a stranger calls asking for a transfer?” “How to distinguish real from fake investments?” Through joint efforts of police and bank staff, financial security knowledge is deeply ingrained in the villagers.

The financial service station is no longer just a place for deposits and withdrawals; it has become a “propaganda station” for rural financial safety. Regular education combined with concentrated activities brings financial knowledge into ordinary households and safeguards the villagers’ hard-earned money.

Gathering collective strength

Finance benefits the people, and long-term effectiveness depends on coordination.

Local police, the Chuanshan Village collective, and the rural financial service station work together to build a new model of “government-bank collaboration and service sinking,” turning this “small station” into a powerful engine for rural revitalization, truly bringing services to villagers’ doorsteps.

Every summer, Chouzhou Bank also moves the “Common Prosperity Mountain and Sea Tour” live broadcast into the service station, transforming it into a platform for showcasing agricultural products, creating online sales channels for Xianju’s specialty Yangmei and processed products. In the live broadcast, bank staff become “sales hosts,” promoting agricultural products while spreading anti-fraud knowledge, exploring a new model of “public welfare assistance + financial education.” This not only expands sales and increases villagers’ income but also popularizes financial knowledge through live streaming to more people.

Today, this small station has become a one-stop platform integrating basic finance, convenient living services, public welfare, financial education, and agricultural support. Villagers can withdraw small amounts, transfer money, pay water and phone bills without leaving the village; regular free haircuts and medical checkups meet daily needs; ongoing financial education protects every penny earned; online and offline efforts support agriculture, continuously injecting vitality into rural industries.

The spring breeze of finance blows over Chuanshan year after year, bringing real warmth to the villagers. From convenient services to financial education, from supporting agriculture to government-bank cooperation, the original intention of a financial institution has taken root and grown in the countryside.

“Small station, big energy”—perhaps this is the most simple yet powerful form of financial services sinking into rural areas.
