Alibaba DAMO Academy Unveils "Flex" Scalable Platform and RISC-V Architecture AI Accelerator Engine

Mars Finance reports that at the Xuantie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference, Alibaba DAMO Academy announced two new products—the “Flex” scalable platform and a RISC-V architecture AI accelerator engine. According to the introduction, the “Flex” scalable platform offers full-stack support for “model-development environment-toolchain,” aiming to lower the barriers to RISC-V development. The RISC-V architecture AI accelerator engine adopts a “unified addressing” design, integrating a 4K ultra-wide vector acceleration engine and a native tensor computation engine for large models, supporting various floating-point formats from FP4 to FP16, providing high energy efficiency for large model inference and training.
