CNBC Finance APP has learned that on March 20, TrendForce published the March panel price trend: in March 2026, TV and monitor panel prices are rising, while laptop panel prices have stabilized.

Details are as follows:

TV Panels

Entering March, brands continue to prepare for the upcoming promotional periods in the second quarter, including the World Cup, China 618 shopping festival, and North American Prime Day, so demand for TV panels remains stable. At the same time, considering the ongoing cost increases for memory and various components, brand customers are more willing to stock up in advance. Panel manufacturers are also expected to seize the opportunity of stable demand to maintain the upward trend in TV panel prices.

Currently, the forecast for March TV panel prices is an increase of $1 for 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch panels, $2 for 55-inch panels, and $3 for 65-inch and 75-inch panels.

Monitor Panels

Demand for LCD monitor panels remains stable in March. Although most monitor models are not directly affected by rising memory prices and shortages at the manufacturing end, recent increases in raw materials and components are also reflected in higher costs. As a result, panel manufacturers face increased costs for parts and production, which they are eager to pass on through price hikes.

The current forecast indicates a slight expansion in monitor panel price increases in March. For open-cell panels, 23.8-inch FHD IPS is expected to rise by $0.3–0.4, and 27-inch FHD IPS by $0.3. For panel modules, 23.8-inch FHD IPS is expected to increase by $0.3, and 27-inch FHD IPS by $0.1–0.2.

Laptop Panels

Laptop (NB) panels maintained their demand momentum in March. However, with the sharp rise in memory costs and recent CPU shortages and price increases, it is expected that in the second quarter, if component supply remains insufficient, panel demand may adjust accordingly. Additionally, panel manufacturers are increasingly feeling the pressure of rising costs for upstream components, which is rapidly compressing their profit margins. As a result, panel manufacturers are becoming more firm in maintaining panel prices. The forecast for March is that NB panel prices will stabilize across the board.
