AliExpress Officially Joins the YouTube Shopping Alliance

Sina Tech, March 17th — According to Korean media reports, AliExpress, Alibaba’s cross-border e-commerce platform, has reached a significant partnership with YouTube. As an official partner, AliExpress has officially joined YouTube’s “Shopping Alliance Program,” embracing a new traffic gateway in the AI era.

It is reported that AliExpress is the first Chinese e-commerce platform to collaborate with YouTube in Korea. Through this partnership, YouTube will become a new distribution channel for AliExpress, which will also introduce more diverse and high-quality global products into the YouTube ecosystem. This move is seen as another major collaboration in AliExpress’s “Super Amazon” plan and its international expansion efforts.

According to sources, the YouTube shopping feature will launch in Korea in June 2024. By July 2025, over 15 million Korean users will have used YouTube for shopping-related searches. Korean creators can directly display AliExpress product links in YouTube videos and live streams, covering popular categories such as fashion, beauty, consumer electronics, and home furniture. Viewers can click on product tags below videos to instantly jump to AliExpress and complete their purchase.

Both parties stated that they will further optimize product recommendations and shopping experiences using AI technology in the future, helping Chinese brands reach a global audience in more creative ways and providing consumers with more convenient cross-border shopping options.
