World Gymnastics Federation: Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Doha Stop Canceled Due to Middle East Situation
The International Gymnastics Federation announced on its official website on March 20 that due to the current situation in the Middle East, an emergency online vote was held, and the FIG Executive Committee decided to cancel the upcoming Doha leg of the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup. The Doha event was originally scheduled to take place from April 15 to 18 local time. The Chinese gymnastics team had planned to send 10 athletes, including Zhou Yaqin and Zhang Yihan, to compete. Previously, due to the situation in the Middle East, the Chinese team had canceled participation in several events.
