Annual GDP Expected to Grow 5%, Total Volume to Reach 140 Trillion Yuan

On July 27, visitors at the Huawei exhibition area at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai viewed the Ascend 384 supernode.

The Central Economic Work Conference was held in Beijing from December 10 to 11. A relevant official from the Central Financial Office stated that the economy is expected to grow by about 5% for the year, remaining among the top economies in the world, with a total economic volume reaching approximately 140 trillion yuan. Overall employment remains stable, foreign trade is growing rapidly, and the effects of export diversification are evident. Looking ahead to 2026, active factor flows and innovation will continue to inject new momentum into development. The flow of people, goods, information, and capital will maintain a relatively rapid growth trend, with investment and consumption expected to recover. Industrial transformation and upgrading will accelerate, and technological and industrial innovation will enter a phase of concentrated breakthroughs. The prospects for China’s economic development are very bright.
