Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 20 (Reporter Wang Yuhao) — According to the National Postal Administration, in the first two months of this year, China’s postal industry handled a total of 33.14 billion parcels, a 5.6% increase year-on-year. Among them, express delivery volume reached 30.49 billion parcels, a 7.1% increase.

On the same day, the National Postal Administration released the operational status of the postal industry. In the first two months, the industry’s total revenue reached 291.98 billion yuan, a 7.4% increase year-on-year. Of this, express delivery revenue totaled 238.54 billion yuan, a 7.9% increase.

In terms of service types, in the first two months, local express delivery volume was 2.13 billion parcels, a 4.8% decrease year-on-year; intercity express delivery volume was 27.68 billion parcels, an 8.2% increase; international/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan express delivery volume was 680 million parcels, a 2.8% increase.
