Lin Ding-kwan to lead delegation to visit Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing starting tomorrow

The Secretary for Justice, Mr. Paul Lam, will lead a delegation of about 40 representatives from the Law Society of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Bar Association, local and international law firms, and other organizations on a visit to Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Nanjing tomorrow (22nd). The trip aims to strengthen legal industry exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland China and promote cooperation in legal and dispute resolution services.

Mr. Lam will attend a roundtable meeting with lawyers and businesses from Shanghai and visit the Shanghai judicial authorities and institutions. During the stay in Hangzhou, the delegation will hold exchange discussions with representatives of Zhejiang’s legal sector and visit local foreign-related legal institutions. Afterwards, Mr. Lam will go to Nanjing to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong Legal and Business Integration Service Platform. During the visit, Mr. Lam will meet with local leaders separately.

Mr. Lam will conclude his visit and return to Hong Kong on March 26. During his absence, Deputy Secretary for Justice, Mr. Zeng Guojun, will act as the Secretary for Justice.
