Yang Zi Studio: Will pursue accountability to the end
Question to AI: What warning does this incident provide regarding technological ethics in the short drama industry?
On March 20, @YangZi Studio issued a statement:
Regarding the unauthorized use of Ms. Yang Zi’s likeness through AI face-swapping, deep synthesis, and other technologies to create and distribute video content, which severely infringes on Ms. Yang Zi’s legal rights. The studio has entrusted lawyers to collect evidence of the infringement and will pursue legal action to the fullest extent!
The related videos have now been taken down. Technology can create a better future, but it should not be used as a tool for infringement. The internet is not a lawless place, and the studio is firmly defending its rights.
Recently, a netizen revealed that the opening of the AI short drama “Rebirth: I Became My Mother’s Guardian” Episode 14 appears to have used actor @YangZi’s face. On March 20, the short drama was taken down.
