Hainan Industrial Economic New Perspective: Leecheng Pilot Zone Builds Medical Consumption "Attraction Field"

China News Service Haikou, March 18 — (Zhang Yuehe) At the press conference for the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo held on the 18th, Fu Zhu, Deputy Director of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone (referred to as “Lecheng Pilot Zone”) Management Bureau, stated that the Lecheng Pilot Zone has relied on the national platform of the China International Consumer Products Expo (referred to as “CICPE”) for six consecutive years to build a high-quality “attraction field” for medical consumption.

The 6th CICPE will be held in Hainan Province from April 13 to 18. Fu Zhu said that starting this year, the Lecheng Pilot Zone’s “Never-Ending” International Innovative Medical Devices Exhibition will become part of the “China International Consumer Products Expo Healthcare Pavilion,” and will serve as a permanent health consumption sub-exhibition area at the CICPE, allowing the health elements of the expo to be showcased throughout the year in the Lecheng Pilot Zone, so domestic and international merchants can always experience the latest achievements in global healthcare.

As China’s only “Medical Special Zone,” the Lecheng Pilot Zone has 42 medical institutions in operation, including top domestic public hospitals such as Ruijin and West China Hospital, as well as international and domestic brand medical institutions like Boao Fulong Hospital, Boao Super Hospital, and Boao Yiling.

The international health consumption sub-exhibition area set up in the Lecheng Pilot Zone at this CICPE features five core sections: the Free Trade Port and Lecheng policy exhibition area will showcase landmark achievements of core policies; the International Innovative Medical Devices Exhibition will gather top global companies like Johnson & Johnson and Medtronic, displaying cutting-edge products in cardiology, neurology, and other specialized fields, while also introducing new health service scenarios such as Super AI Hospitals to showcase trends in intelligent and precise medical care; the Healthy Living Exhibition will focus on showcasing top global health foods and health technology products; the China Innovative Drugs Exhibition and China Innovative Medical Devices Exhibition will highlight China’s manufacturing innovation strength.

On the industry side, the Lecheng Pilot Zone will provide integrated services for participating companies, from brand display and policy docking to market transformation. Relying on the China Duty-Free Big Health Platform and cross-border e-commerce experience centers, it will serve as a “test ground” for international innovative products to enter the Chinese market. On the consumer side, the zone will create four immersive experience scenarios: “Tomorrow’s Medical Experience Zone,” “Global Selection Experience Zone,” “Tech-on-the-Go Experience Zone,” and “Lightweight Consultation and Health Service Station,” allowing consumers to experience new health consumption through AI health assessments, product trials, on-site consultations, and more.

Leveraging the international innovative drugs, medical devices, special foods, biomedical new technologies, and high-quality medical resources gathered in the Lecheng Pilot Zone, a series of “Lecheng Health Solutions” utilizing cutting-edge medical technologies and products will be launched for the first time during the CICPE, focusing on key areas such as tumor precision diagnosis and treatment, and chronic disease management. This will showcase Lecheng Pilot Zone’s comprehensive service capabilities in healthcare and provide the public with systematic, frontier, and international health services.

During the CICPE, the Lecheng Pilot Zone will also host series of forums and activities, including the Super AI Digital Hospital Technology Matchmaking Conference, Health Consumption Innovation Partner Conference, and “Lecheng Innovation & CICPE Health Tour,” promoting deep integration of medical technology, health consumption, and Hainan tourism resources. Additionally, joint activities such as the “Global Technology Intelligence, Building Human Health” series of exchanges will be held at the Lecheng Pilot Zone and the Boao Asia Forum site, contributing the “Lecheng Solution” to the global healthcare industry.
