Five men and one woman are suspected of stealing 73 gold bars worth approximately HKD 93 million from an office building in Hung Hom. The five individuals were arrested by police yesterday, and the stolen gold bars have been recovered.

The five suspects are between 31 and 58 years old. Police stated that the incident occurred around 2 p.m. yesterday at an office unit on Chung On Street in Hung Hom during a gold transaction. During the transaction, three people suddenly entered the unit, claiming that the responsible person of the company owed debts. They placed the 73 gold bars into suitcases with the buyer and left. Company staff attempted to stop them but were unsuccessful.

Subsequently, several individuals, along with a man outside the unit acting as a lookout, boarded two private cars and left the scene. The company staff immediately notified their employer and reported the case to the police.

After analyzing intelligence and CCTV footage, police identified the suspects. Last night, all five were arrested in Central and Tai Po districts. All hold Hong Kong ID cards, including the mastermind. The case is still under investigation.
