People's Finance News, March 21 — On the morning of March 20, Sun Mei-jun, Director General of the General Administration of Customs of China, met with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and his delegation at the Customs headquarters. Both sides exchanged in-depth views and reached broad consensus on strengthening cooperation between China Customs and FAO, enhancing the capacity of developing countries in the Global South to ensure agricultural and food product safety, promoting international trade facilitation through smart customs, and supporting the Hainan Free Trade Port in playing an international demonstration role. Vice Director General Zhang Baofeng attended the meeting.
