The 16th Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held, presided over by Wang Huning

The 16th Executive Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in Beijing on the afternoon of the 10th. Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC, presided over the meeting. The meeting heard reports on the review and revision of relevant draft documents, and approved the draft resolutions on the work report of the Standing Committee at the 4th session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee, the report on proposal work since the 3rd session of the 14th CPPCC, the proposal review report by the Proposal Committee of the 14th CPPCC, and the political resolution of the 4th session of the 14th CPPCC. It was decided to submit these reports and draft resolutions to the closing session of the 4th session of the 14th CPPCC for review.

Before the meeting, Wang Huning presided over the 48th Chairmen’s Meeting of the 14th CPPCC, where a comprehensive report on the 4th session of the 14th CPPCC was presented, and relevant draft documents for review by the 16th Standing Committee of the CPPCC were discussed.

Members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC, Shi Taifeng; Vice Chairmen of the CPPCC, Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, Pabala Glei Langjie, He Houhua, Leung Chun-ying, Batel, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong, Chen Wu, Mu Hong, Xian Hui, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Xinzhi, Jiang Zuojun, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Zhu Yongxin, and Yang Zhen attended the meeting.
