# True Great Wisdom

1. **Know When to Stop**
Know what should be done, and more importantly, know what should not be done; understand moderation and restraint, avoiding greed, impatience, and overstepping boundaries.

2. **Know the Constant**
See clearly the patterns of the world: there are ups and downs, gains and losses, gathering and dispersing.
Don't let temporary gains or losses disturb your mind, don't let emotions lead you astray.

3. **Embrace Tolerance**
Understand the differences between people and allow things to unfold differently from your wishes.
Don't judge hastily, don't forcibly change others, just manage yourself well.

4. **Guard Against Cleverness**
Don't resort to petty tricks, don't take shortcuts, don't seek petty advantages.
What seems slow, clumsy, and honest is actually the most steady and longest-lasting path.

5. **Self-Reflection**
When facing matters, look inward first, don't blame heaven or others.
Acknowledge your own limitations, and constantly correct yourself.

6. **Compassion**
Be lenient with yourself, be gentle with others, maintain reverence for all things.
Have strength, yet don't abuse it; have sharpness, yet know how to restrain it.

7. **Live in the Present**
Don't regret the past, don't anxiously worry about the future.
Living well in this present moment is the highest wisdom.
