Domestic refined oil prices are about to experience a “five consecutive increases.” Multiple institutions predict that on March 23rd, next Monday evening, oil prices will rise, and filling up a tank will cost an additional 80 yuan. For owners of fuel-powered cars, remember to fill up this weekend and avoid long lines on the last day, March 23rd.

According to institutional estimates, as of the ninth working day on March 20th, the average price of reference crude oil varieties is $96.89 per barrel, with a change rate of 29.31%. The corresponding domestic gasoline and diesel retail prices should be increased by 2,000 yuan per ton.

Converted to per liter, the price of 92-octane gasoline will increase by 1.6 yuan. Filling up a full tank (assuming 50 liters) will cost about 80 yuan more. However, the final increase will depend on the international oil prices on the last working day.

Since the average international oil price during this price adjustment cycle is still rising, a domestic oil price jump next Monday is highly likely, and the final increase may be further expanded.

According to research, currently, the retail price of 92-octane gasoline in Jiangsu Province is 7.61 yuan per liter, 95-octane gasoline is 8.09 yuan per liter, 98-octane gasoline is 10.16 yuan per liter, and No. 0 diesel is 7.26 yuan per liter. This means that after the oil price adjustment at 24:00 on March 23rd, 92-octane gasoline will directly jump past the “8” mark and reach the “9” range, at 9.21 yuan per liter. For example, filling a full tank of 92-octane gasoline will cost over 460 yuan; filling with 95-octane gasoline will cost about 485 yuan.

According to Zhuochuang Information’s forecast, based on daily travel, a private car driving 2,000 kilometers per month with an average fuel consumption of 8 liters per 100 km will see its fuel cost increase by about 138 yuan before the next price adjustment window (24:00 on April 7, 2026). For the logistics industry, heavy trucks driving 10,000 kilometers per month with a fuel consumption of 38 liters per 100 km will see their fuel costs increase by approximately 3,553 yuan during the same period.
