National Energy Administration: As of the end of February, the total number of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (charging guns) nationwide reached 2.101 million units, an increase of 47.8% year-over-year.

People’s Financial News, March 21 — On March 21, the National Energy Administration released data on electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide as of February 2026. According to the National Charging Infrastructure Monitoring Service Platform, by the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging points in China reached 21.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Among them, public charging points numbered 4.834 million, a 28.8% increase, with the total rated power of public charging facilities reaching 229 million kilowatts, and an average power of approximately 47.41 kilowatts; private charging points numbered 16.176 million, a 54.6% increase, with the installed electrical capacity of private charging facilities reaching 141 million kVA.
